Most Golden Triangle itineraries stop at forts and palaces. This one adds a jungle chapter. The Golden Triangle Tour with Ranthambore is a 5-day journey that carries you from the monuments of Delhi and Agra into the wilderness of Ranthambore National Park — home to some of India’s most photographed wild tigers — before rounding off in the pink lanes of Jaipur.

It’s a trip built for travelers who want more than architecture. You’ll spend your mornings tracing the footsteps of Mughal emperors and Rajput kings, and one full day tracking tigers, leopards, and deer across dry deciduous forest on an open-jeep safari. HappyIndiaTour handles every transfer in a private, air-conditioned car with a professional driver, so the only thing you need to plan is what to pack.

Highlights of Trip

  • A five-day loop through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur — heritage and wildlife in one package
  • Old Delhi’s chaos and charm: Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, and a cycle-rickshaw ride through the old quarter
  • New Delhi’s colonial and modern face: India Gate, Parliament House, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, and the Lotus Temple
  • A sunrise viewing of the Taj Mahal — arguably the best time of day to see it, before the crowds and the heat arrive
  • Two lesser-visited Agra gems: Itimad-ud-Daulah (the “Baby Taj”) and the sunset views of the Taj from Mehtab Bagh across the Yamuna
  • A stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned red-sandstone Mughal capital, en route to Ranthambore
  • A full wildlife safari at Ranthambore National Park, one of India’s best places to spot a wild Bengal tiger
  • Jaipur’s greatest hits in a single day: Amber Fort, Jal Mahal, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, and Patrika Gate
  • Entry tickets to all monuments included, so there’s no scrambling for cash or queuing at ticket counters

Full Tour Itinerary

Your driver will pick you up around 9:00 AM from your hotel in Delhi, Gurgaon, or Noida, or from the airport. The day is split between the two very different faces of the capital.

In Old Delhi, you’ll walk through Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosques, then take a cycle-rickshaw ride through the tangled lanes of Chandni Chowk before viewing the imposing Red Fort. After a lunch break, the afternoon shifts to New Delhi’s wide boulevards and government architecture — Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, the Parliament House, Qutub Minar, and the lotus-shaped Bahá’í Temple. You’ll return to your Delhi hotel for the night.

Overnight stay: Delhi

After breakfast and checkout around 9:00 AM, you’ll drive to Agra — a journey of roughly 3 hours on the expressway. Check in to your hotel and take the afternoon to rest.

In the evening, head out to Itimad-ud-Daulah, often called the “Baby Taj” for the marble inlay work that’s said to have inspired the real thing, followed by Mehtab Bagh. From this garden across the Yamuna River, you get one of the finest unobstructed views of the Taj Mahal — especially striking as the light fades.

Overnight stay: Agra

Your guide and driver will collect you early — around 6:30 AM, sometimes earlier in summer — for a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal. Watching the marble shift color as the sun comes up is one of the quieter, more memorable ways to experience the monument.

Back at the hotel for breakfast and checkout, you’ll then visit the Agra Fort before setting off for Ranthambore. On the way, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the fortified ghost city built by Emperor Akbar and abandoned within decades of its completion. Continue the drive to Ranthambore, where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included at your hotel for the night.

Overnight stay: Ranthambore (Sawai Madhopur)

Rise early for a jeep or canter safari inside Ranthambore National Park, one of India’s premier tiger reserves. A safari representative will collect you from your hotel for the drive into the park, where sightings can include tigers, leopards, sloth bears, deer, and a wide range of birdlife — though, as with any wildlife safari, tiger sightings are never guaranteed.

Return to the hotel for breakfast, then check out and drive on to Jaipur. Check in to your hotel and settle in for the evening.

Overnight stay: Jaipur

After breakfast, your guide will take you through Jaipur’s landmark sights: the hilltop Amber Fort (with an elephant ride included), the lake-set Jal Mahal, the ornate City Palace, the astronomical instruments of Jantar Mantar, the perforated facade of Hawa Mahal, and the modern landmark Patrika Gate.

After a lunch break, you’ll begin the roughly 4-hour drive back to Delhi, arriving in the evening (around 8–9 PM). Your driver will drop you at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your Golden Triangle Tour with Ranthambore.

You can pay via PayPal, credit card, or cash on arrival.

You’ll specify your preferred pick-up point when booking. Pick-up and drop-off are available at Delhi Airport and any hotel in Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, or nearby areas.

No wildlife safari can guarantee a tiger sighting, since these are wild animals moving freely through the park. That said, Ranthambore is one of India’s most reliable parks for tiger sightings, and you’ll also have the chance to spot leopards, sloth bears, deer, crocodiles, and a wide variety of birdlife.

The itinerary includes one wildlife safari at Ranthambore National Park on Day 4. Additional safaris can be added on request, subject to availability and forest department permits.

You can select 3-Star or 5-Star hotel accommodation, or opt for the tour without hotel bookings if you’re arranging your own stays.

Yes, though the early-morning safari departure and the long Day-5 drive back to Delhi are worth factoring in if you’re traveling with very young children.

    • A rare combination, planned properly: Fitting a tiger safari into a Golden Triangle circuit takes careful timing — drive distances, safari slot bookings, and forest permits all have to line up. • One point of contact, start to finish: The same private car and driver stay with you across Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, so you’re not re-briefing a new team at every stop.
    • Guides who know the difference between a monument tour and a safari: You get knowledgeable city guides in Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, plus a dedicated safari representative for Ranthambore.
    • All the entry tickets sorted for you: Monument tickets, the elephant ride at Amber Fort, and your safari booking are arranged in advance — no queuing, no last-minute scrambling.
    • Honest inclusions: You’ll know exactly what’s covered and what isn’t before you travel, with no hidden extras added at checkout.
    • Support throughout your trip: HappyIndiaTour’s team is reachable 24×7 if plans need to shift — whether that’s a flight delay, a hotel change, or a question about your safari timing.
