This 8-day tour combines the Golden Triangle — Delhi, Agra, Jaipur — with Amritsar, home to Sikhism’s holiest shrine and one of the most-watched border ceremonies in the world. It covers Mughal-era monuments, Rajput fort architecture, and Sikh religious and historical sites across four cities and two states, connected by road for the first three legs and by a short domestic flight from Jaipur to Amritsar.

Delhi opens the tour with Red Fort (completed 1648, UNESCO-listed since 2007), Jama Masjid (completed 1656, among India’s largest mosques), and Humayun’s Tomb (built 1570, UNESCO-listed since 1993 and the architectural precursor to the Taj Mahal). In Agra, the tour covers the Taj Mahal (completed 1653, UNESCO since 1983), Agra Fort (construction began 1565 under Akbar), and Itimad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb — known as the “Baby Taj,” built in 1628 and notable for introducing the marble inlay technique later used on the Taj Mahal.

Jaipur sightseeing covers Amber Fort (built 1592, part of the UNESCO-listed Hill Forts of Rajasthan), City Palace, and Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory completed in 1734 that houses the world’s largest stone sundial. A short flight then connects Jaipur to Amritsar, where the tour covers the Golden Temple (Sikhism’s holiest gurdwara, built 1604), Jallianwala Bagh (site of the 1919 massacre and now a memorial), the Wagah Border ceremony — a daily military drill and flag-lowering event held at the India-Pakistan border since 1959 — Durgiana Temple, and the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum.
